Ed and Deanna and Naheed Dropped in

Deanna and Ed Templeton just returned from Deanna's show at the Schunk* Netherlands
where she had a show of her amazing photographs. The Schunk* director Stijn Huijts,is awesome and used to run the Het Domain Museum. Stijn is a huge supporter of
everything we love here. Skating, Street, cool peeps and amazing art installations,
wonderful art books ........
The Schunck* published a beautiful book by Deanna Templetopon, "Scratch My Name On Your Arm"
It has many of the pics of Deanna's self published previously released zines. But is way not zine like. It is a beautiful hard cover book with an intro by her favorite skater and hubby Ed and an article written by Stijn.
There are going to be book signings around town and will keep you posted.

The Love & Guts Art Show, presented by Oakley, Juxtapoz and Thrasher, is set to make its return to New York City with a specially themed show, titled Eyes Wide Open. After a highly successful showing in Wellington, New Zealand and Bondi Beach, Australia earlier this year, Love & Guts created a sensation throughout the skateboard world with its themed centered around celebrating the lives of skaters that left us far too soon. Although gone physically, the impressions left by them have lived on, and to further immortalize them, Eyes Wide Open comes to street skating’s mecca, New York City, for what promises to the be largest Love & Guts exhibition to date.

The show historically has been centered around the art of skating legends Lance Mountain, Pat Ngoho, Steve Caballero and Steve Olson, but has gone on to include many other skaters from skating’s past and present. For Eyes Wide Open NYC, the show enlisted the talents of Chad Muska, Armando Roura, Don Pendelton, Giovanni Reda, Dennis McNett and Ivory & Shelter Serra whose work will be accompanying that of Mountain, Ngoho, Caballero and Olson. Eyes Wide Open will be taking place on Friday, June 4, 2010 from 7 to 10pm at the Red Bull Space, which is located at 40 Thompson Street, New York, NY. Music will be provided by DJ Taryn Manning and drinks will be provided courtesy of Red Bull.
