LA PAINT @ The Oakland Museum of California

The Oakland Museum of California presents a selective look at the vast and vibrant Southern California art scene via 11 influential artists, in L.A. PAINT. The exhibition opens October 4, 2008 and continues through March 8, 2009.

This show includes 2 of our favorite artists the date farmers
carlos ramirez and armando lerma. Congratulations to the guys and to the museum for including them.

-- We also will be showing a 10 x10 painting of Obama at our gallery in
the back room that the guys painted during the democratic convention in
Denver. Will have an image up soon of it for all of you to feast your
eye balls!
More good news about the DF's -- POW in london will be working with The
Date Farmers and in collaboration with New Image Art to create prints
and there will also be
original art available in London at POW's gallery.

NEW IMAGE ART BOOK

Hey, you!
Yes, we mean you. The New Image Art book is coming together and we need your help. If you have any photos of openings, happenings or other events that took place at the gallery over the years, please send them to us! If we end up using your stuff, you’ll get the enormous sense of satisfaction that comes with a photo credit!

Dig up your old photos and send us an email with hi-res images to info@newimageartgallery.com . In the subject line, please write “New Image Art book photos” (otherwise, you’ll be deleted), and be sure to include your full name and a cell phone number in the body of the email. And please, people, this is not a call for your artwork. We’re interested in documenting the history of the gallery, and that’s it!

Thank you in advance!
